SUMMARY:Christmas on the Square
DESCRIPTION:The Burleson County Chamber of Commerce Presents: Christmas on the Square\n\nChristmas on the Square is a hometown favorite event. It's a great time that we celebrate Christmas as a community. We have dance performances\, Caldwell Intermediate School Choir\, Boys & Girls Club of Caldwell Caldwell High School Band and the CHS Caldwell High School Honeybees Dance Team will perform. The evening will start off with a welcome from the Chamber\, County Judge Keith Schroeder and Caldwell City Mayor Norris McManus. The local Girl Scouts are having a baked goods show and sale to help raise money to repair the Girl Scout House in Caldwell. Bakers will compete for prizes and the auction items proceeds will go to help with repairs to the Girl Scout house. Thank you to Home and Ranch Real Estate for serving as the drop off location for the Baked Good Competition!! \n\nThe Girl Scout house was badly damaged after the freeze this year and we haven't been able to use it this year. Thanks for considering helping the Girl Scouts!\n\n \n\nAlso Elizabeth Rinck of the Caldwell Texas Highway Patrol office is collecting ornaments for law enforcement. She is asking individuals to create ornaments and drop them off during Christmas on the Square. The ornaments will be used to decorate the law enforcement offices. There will be a bounce house and cocoa provided as well.\n\n \n\nBB&T now Truist in partnership with United Way of the Brazos Valley is collecting new and gently used children's books to give to children in our community. Join them at our free book giveaway during Christmas on the Square.\n\n \n\nAfter all the performances we have the crowd favorite Lighted Parade. All of this takes place downtown Caldwell on Buck Street on the southside of the courthouse. We have about 23 parade entries each year. The parade will start at Buck Street\, turn left on Main\, and turn left on Fox. We have about 500+ people that attend the event.\n\nThank you to our sponsors Citizen's State Bank and Double Creek Crossing!
