The third annual Great Texas Sausage Festival is a Burleson County Chamber of Commerce event sponsored by Slovacek's Sausage and Chappell Hill Sausage Company. The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12, 2012, at Welch Park on Lake Somerville; beginning at 8am. Admission $5/person for one day pass; and 5 years & under are free.

Great Texas Sausage Festival presents "Great Texas Parade in the Sky" on Sun., May 12, 10am-1pm contest, Welch Park on Lake Somerville; No age limit!!! Everyone who brings a kite gets free admission in park. Must be registered for kite contest for prizes.

01.03.12 Lone Star Mower Racing Association presents the Great Texas Sausage Festival "Lawn Mower Races", on Sat., May 11; registration at 10am; races start at 11am....more than 25 drivers will be competing for various titles.
