Event Purpose
Coffee & Connections is a quarterly networking opportunity designed to bring together existing Burleson County Chamber of Commerce members and prospective members in a welcoming, relaxed setting. 2027 dates are set for March 2, June 7, September 7 and December 7.
The goal is to help local business owners, professionals, and community leaders build meaningful relationships, make valuable connections, learn about one another's businesses, and discover opportunities to work together.
While Chamber membership will be an important part of the conversation, the focus is on creating genuine connections and demonstrating the value of being involved in the local business community. By welcoming prospective members and introducing them to the Chamber's network, programs, and opportunities, Coffee & Connections will provide a natural opportunity to encourage new memberships.
Event Objectives
- Build relationships: Give business owners and professionals an opportunity to meet, connect, and establish relationships with others in Burleson County.
- Welcome prospective members: Introduce nonmember businesses to the Chamber, its members, and the benefits of membership in an informal setting.
- Strengthen member engagement: Create additional opportunities for existing members to connect with one another, share resources, and develop business relationships.
- Promote local businesses: Highlight Chamber members and provide opportunities for attendees to learn about the products, services, and expertise available within the county.
- Encourage collaboration: Help businesses discover opportunities to refer customers, partner on projects, and support one another.
- Grow Chamber membership: Build awareness of the Chamber's role in supporting local businesses and encourage prospective members to become involved.
Event Format
Coffee & Connections will be held quarterly, on the second Tuesday of the month, from 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM. Locations will be rotated among Chamber member businesses willing to host the gathering.
Host businesses will be invited to provide their facility and coffee or light refreshments. In return, the host will have an opportunity to introduce its business, showcase its location, and connect with attendees.
Each gathering will emphasize conversation and networking rather than formal presentations. The Chamber will facilitate introductions and provide simple opportunities for attendees to share who they are, what their business does, and how others can connect with them.
Meeting Format
- 7:45–8:00 AM | Coffee & Introductions: Welcome attendees, enjoy coffee, and begin making connections.
- 8:10–8:20 AM | Meet the Host: Allow the host business to introduce its services, share its story, and welcome attendees.
- 8:20–8:50 AM | Networking & Connections: Encourage attendees to introduce themselves, exchange business information, and discover ways to work together.
- 8:50–9:00 AM | Chamber Connections & Closing: Share brief Chamber updates, upcoming events, membership information, and announcements.
Participation & Membership
Coffee & Connections will be open to current Chamber members and prospective members. Attendees will be encouraged to bring a business associate, introduce another local business owner, or invite someone interested in becoming more involved in the community.
Prospective members will have the opportunity to meet Chamber leadership and members, ask questions about membership, and learn how the Chamber supports local businesses.
There will be no formal membership presentation or pressure to join. Instead, the event will demonstrate the value of Chamber membership through the relationships, collaboration, and connections taking place.
Host Business Opportunities
Chamber member businesses will be invited to host a quarterly gathering on a rotating basis. Hosting provides an opportunity to increase business visibility, welcome fellow business professionals, and introduce potential customers and connections to their business.
The Chamber will promote each gathering through its communication channels and encourage members to invite prospective members and other local business professionals.
Expected Outcomes
Coffee & Connections is intended to strengthen the Chamber's network, increase member engagement, encourage referrals and collaboration, introduce prospective members to the organization, and support the continued growth of Burleson County's business community.
The ultimate goal is simple: Bring local businesses together, build meaningful relationships, and create connections that strengthen both our Chamber and our community.
